About Us

Hi, I’m Sam Fiony. I was born to a Cameroonian mother and a Nigerian father, and today I live in the UK where I earned my degree in Cyber Security. My roots connect me deeply to Africa, and while I am proud of where I come from, I’ve also seen firsthand how scams have cast a shadow over our communities.

Growing up, I often heard people talk about scams as if they were just “a normal hustle.” I even knew friends and acquaintances who were tempted into that world, convinced it was the fastest way to make money. At the same time, I saw the other side  families devastated because their savings were stolen, innocent people tricked into debt, and communities labeled as untrustworthy because of the actions of a few.

One story that has stuck with me is of a family friend who lost thousands of pounds to a fake investment scheme. He believed he was securing his children’s future, but instead, he was left with nothing. The shame and silence that followed were heartbreaking. That moment made me realize just how destructive scams really are  not just financially, but emotionally and socially too.

This experience, combined with my background in cyber security, inspired me to take action. I decided to create this guide because I want to change the story. My mission is to help people protect themselves from scammers by teaching them how to spot the warning signs, stay safe online, and outsmart fraud. I also want to reach young people  especially those back home  and show them that there are better, more honest ways to build a future than resorting to scamming.

This project is more than just an extension of my career. It is about education, empowerment, and awareness. It is about protecting people who might otherwise become victims, and it is about restoring trust where it has been broken.

If even one person avoids being tricked after reading this guide, then the mission is already a success. But I don’t want to stop there. My vision is to create a ripple effect  sparking conversations, raising awareness across communities, and inspiring change. Together, we can build an internet where people feel safe, where honesty is valued, and where the cycle of scams is finally broken.
